I received the information inviting me to join your club. I went to the link and I am still having trouble using the sign in. It will take my email, but nothing else. I can change the birthdate just like at the first. Nothing else will open and let me fill in the blanks. I did purchase the boat with the antique motor today and will pick it up tomorrow. The gentalman I purchased the rig from said he was was also a member and had gotten a lot of good information from you. I believe he said he had also gotten parts from someone from this site. Also when I click on the sign in button, it says that I am already a member and to sign in. I don't have a password on record to sign in. Sorry for all the trouble.
I have tried to register for your site several times. I can get my email addy on the form, and I can change my birthday info. I can not get into the spaces for name, address, etc. I would like to register so I can lurk and maybe get questions answered in regard to my Johnson 2.5 hp motor. I don't know much about this motor right now as it is on a boat I just purchased and haven't acquired at this time.

Looking for 2 parts for 1968 Evinrude 3 HP lightwin motor model # 3806A.............Part # 0205900 - Gearcase Pad & Part # 0205901 - Retainer Gearcase........Looks to be a 90 degree small medal handle lever to move the gearcase back and forth possibly around 2 inches in length on outside and maybe 1' to 2' going inside to the motor.
Think the same parts where used on different models #'s ...3802, 3803, 3806, 3807, 3832, 3833, 3836, and 3837 around the same years.
Thanks for your help as these part are obsolete, or if some knows how I can "create" a similiar part as a replacement piece would be helpful.
This is a reply to my offer to be sure the system works. I tried to log in as a member, but the system wouldn`t allow it. Something wrong somewhere!

This AOMCI site is the first decent source of info I have bumped into. I just came into possession of a couple of old outboards, because I couldn't let my buddy throw them out when he moved. They are a Nemptune 10A1 (1940), a Firestone 10-horse (by Mcullough, I htink), and a Lauson SportKing 4-cycle (unkown vintage). I am a sailor myself, but have a weak spot for handsome, old mechanical things. Not sure what I will do with these, but happy to have them resting comfortably in my girlfriend's garage, while I dream of putting about in style, or seeing a big smile on some tinker's face. Of course, it was indecent of me to even think of bringing them home, but what else could a man do?
Thanks for a good site, I'll keep an eye on it. -- Jim in Mich
I own an outboard motor and need help to identify him (I guess that's Roness from 1928). I want to sell it but do not know the real price. Any advice would be welcome to me.
PS:Sorry if I have spelling mistakes, English is not my native language.
Thanks and regards.
